Post-election listening sessions for students, faculty, staff and community

To help people process their responses to the election, ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â will offer structured online drop-in groups for gathering to share feelings, fears, needs and hopes. These groups will not be about arguing for positions or candidates, but rather a chance to share on a more personal level.

Election civility

We at ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â value every member of our community, including individuals of differing political persuasion, ethnic and racial identity, gender, sexual orientation, ability level, age, military status and more. We respect intellectual and political freedom and promote intellectual and political discourse. We expect our students, faculty, staff and administrators will treat each other with respect and decency, even as we disagree – sometimes intensely – about policies and candidates.

Job opening: Health Projects Coordinator

The Center for Human Development is seeking applications for a Health Projects Coordinator. This position requires experience with applied research, project management, and community outreach. We are looking for a highly-motivated individual with experience in health education programs and/or sexual health. We desire someone who has excellent facilitation skills and who can coordinate multiple projects with a variety of university and community stakeholders. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, has excellent writing and presentation skills, and is experienced in research ethics and protocols.

Job opening: Temporary Administrative Support, ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â IT Services

ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â IT Services is seeking the ideal candidate to fill a temporary administrative role. We are looking for someone with a customer-focused background and prior administrative support experience. This is a part time, temporary administrative position, with up to 20 hours per week, from November through the end of February. The position will remain open until filled.

Join the Office of the Registrar as a Transfer Credit Counselor!

The Office of the Registrar seeks a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to join its team as a Transfer Credit Counselor. This professional facilitates the university’s mission by building relationships with prospective transfer students, as well as other higher education institutions, to help attract future Seawolves well-suited to ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â’s programs. The position is responsible for identifying, supporting recruitment of, and motivating students of diverse backgrounds to make well-informed decisions as they navigate the transfer process.

"Gather" is an intimate portrait of the growing movement amongst Native Americans to reclaim their spiritual, political and cultural identities through food sovereignty, while battling the trauma of centuries of genocide. A message from Chancellor Sandeen

In a message to the ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â community, Chancellor Sandeen wrote, "A few minutes ago the Trustees of the California State University System appointed me the next president of California State University, East Bay. While I am sad to leave this wonderful university and my friends and colleagues, I am excited to take on a new challenge at another public, open-access, urban-metropolitan university very similar to the ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â — one that is just miles from where I grew up and close to my family."

Job opening: Title IX Advisor

The Title IX Advisor position is critical to the success of the Title IX program at the University of Alaska. The university is building a roster of advisors for complainants and respondents.
